WOLVERHAMPTON'S final team fixture of the season fell victim to the weather as rain forced the abandonment of their Challenge fixture at Coventry.

Parrys International Wolves were looking good for an away win against their local rivals, and the new Elite League Champions, as they led by four points at the time of the stoppage.

Wolves were gating well in tricky conditions with Ty Proctor especially impressive as he linked up with Fredrik Lindgren for two 5-1s, but after nine races both captains and managers agreed that with the conditions worsening the meeting could not continue.

COVENTRY 25: Chris Harris 8, Ben Barker 6, Przemyslaw Pawlicki 4+1, Josh Auty 3+2, Krzysztof Kasprzak 3, Lewis Bridger 1, Aaron Summers 0, Edward Kennett r/r.

WOLVERHAMPTON 29: Ty Proctor 8+3, Adam Skornicki 8+1, Fredrik Lindgren 6, Tai Woffinden 4, Ludvig Lindgren 3, Justin Sedgmen 0, Nicolai Klindt r/r.
