FREDDIE Lindgren underlined why he is the modern day master of Monmore Green by winning his fourth Banks’s Olympique title.

The Swedish Grand Prix star, who won the Elite Open Riders’ Championship at the weekend, had to beat Coventry’s in-form British GP ace Chris Harris in a run-off after both finished on 12-points.

It was a terrific night of racing with a big crowd enjoying the unique handicap system which puts a race winner 20-metres back in his next outing.

Lindgren only dropped points in Heat 10 when he fell, but he still did enough to finish joint top of the standings to force the race-off for the title.

And it was ironic that the finishing order was exactly the same as last year with Great Britain World Cup star Scott Nicholls finishing third after a run-off with Edinburgh’s Ryan Fisher.

RESULT: Freddie Lindgren 12 (after run-off), Chris Harris 12, Scott Nicholls 11 (after run-off), Ryan Fisher 11, Tai Woffinden 10, Kevin Wolbert 10, Ty Proctor 9, Matt Wethers 9, Ludvig Lindgren 8, Peter Karlsson 8, Hynek Stichauer 5, Eddie Castro 4 (reserve), Niklas Porsing 3, Tyson Burmiester 3, Ashley Morris 3, Adam Skornicki 2, Slawomir Musielak 0.
