WOLVES 7 BELLE VUE 11 - ABANDONED

Monday May 30, 2011
WOLVERHAMPTON’S efforts to defy the weather and stage their Bank Holiday clash with Belle Vue at Monmore ended in frustration.

The club worked overtime to get the meeting on after heavy rain for much of the day but it was abandoned after three heats with the visitors leading 11-7.

Parrys International Wolves boss Peter Adams said: “It’s a logistical nightmare now we have to re-arrange this because we are both Monday night tracks.

“The fans were very patient and every effort was made to get through the meeting, but let’s just say the Belle Vue riders seemed rather reluctant to continue.”
