WOLVERHAMPTON'S opening Elite League meeting of the season at Belle Vue was abandoned with the scores level at 9-9.
Parrys International Wolves were looking to get some points on the board but riders struggled to get to grips with the Karkmanshulme Lane track.
A delay for track grading was called after three heats but after consultation with the referee the meeting was abandoned due to adverse track conditions.
It's a major blow for the Manchester club who attracted a bumper Good Friday crowd, some of whom were watching live speedway for the first time.
The sides meet again at Wolverhampton's Monmore Green track next Tuesday, April 10, at 7.30pm.
