WOLVERHAMPTON put a dent in Birmingham's hopes of making the Elite League Play-Offs by taking a consolation point from their 48-45 derby defeat a Perry Barr.
And top scorer Tai Woffinden (13) was delighted to get something from the meeting as Parrys International Wolves aim to finish top dogs in the West Midlands.
He said: "We are really pleased with a point. We are just trying to prove a point that we are the best team in the area and that means finishing ahead of Birmingham and Coventry!
"Heat 15, the last race, was spot on. We only needed a 4-2 for a point but me and Freddie (Lindgren) pulled it together for the 5-1 to make sure we ended the meeting in style."
The Monmore men found themselves 10-points down when classy Dane Nicolai Klindt was nominated for double points.
And he responded in style to put Wolves back in contention before the superb Fredrik Lindgren and Woffinden duo combined for 5-1s in Heats 13 and 15.
It was a pleasing effort for Peter Adams' side who were without both Ricky Wells and Jacob Thorssell.
