NEW Wolverhampton skipper Rory Schlein has praised the club’s supporters – as well as speaking of his delight for main team sponsor Dave Parry.

Schlein and fellow heat-leader Jacob Thorssell were present at Parrys International’s annual Open Day at their Cheslyn Hay premises on Sunday, where a large contingent of fans also turned out.

It proved to be a hugely successful event both for the club as well as Parrys International and Schlein was impressed with what he saw.

“It was great to see so many of the fans come along and talk to me and Jacob ahead of the new season,” Schelin said.

“October seems a long time ago now and everyone is itching for March to come along – thankfully it’s edging ever closer!

“It was great to catch up with Jacob and so many other people though and it was great for Wolves as well having such a presence at an event attended by thousands of people and being able to get word out there about our racenights.

“It was a really enjoyable day all round and I think we were all delighted for Dave Parry and Parrys International too.

“He’s been fantastic in backing Wolverhampton for a long time now and for his business to have such a successful day was brilliant to see.”

Wolverhampton’s Press and Practice date has been set for Monday, March 19 at Monmore Green with a special pre-season talk-in taking place at The Cleveland Arms sports pub on Stowheath Lane the following night (Tuesday, March 20).

The opening home fixture of the season will be on Monday, March 26.

Before that though, club legends Peter Karlsson and Mikael Max will be appearing in a special one-off stage show at The Cleveland Arms Sports Pub on Mothers Day. ‘The Wolverhampton Brothers’ takes place on Sunday, March 11 (8pm start) with tickets priced at £12 standard, £30 VIP. They are available at or by calling 01902 451021.
