SAM Masters came through his first meeting back since suffering a broken leg and is ready for his first laps of the year at Wolverhampton.

Masters notched seven-points at Sheffield in Simon Stead’s farewell meeting on Sunday – including an impressive win in his second ride.

He was happy to get through five outings in a competitive field with the meeting won by Grand Prix star Martin Vaculik.

And Masters is ready to return to Monmore for tonight’s press and practice which opens to the public from 6.30.

He said: “I was a bit unsure how things would go because it’s the first time back riding since I broke my leg, but it felt better than I thought.
