WOLVERHAMPTON will face a team of Monmore Green specialists when they finally get to launch their season this Monday.

Rye House Rockets visit Monmore in a mouthwatering Premiership clash and Parrys International Wolves know they have a big test ahead.

British icons Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls lead the charge and always perform well around Monmore – and fellow track specialists Edward Kennett and Stuart Robson are included.

And there’s sure to be plenty of rivalry in the lower order with Max Clegg, who was axed from the Wolves side almost a year ago, making a return with the Hertfordshire side.

They also include world class Pole Krzysztof Kasprzak and Aussie ace Aaron Summers.

“There are no easy meetings in this league,” said Wolverhampton promoter Chris Van Straaten. “But Rye House come to us knowing they have a team of riders who are very comfortable around our track.

“It’s a big test for us and we need the backing of all our fans who have been starved of speedway since last October.

“The weather has improved and we can’t wait to get going. I’ve been getting messages from the boys all week saying they’re just desperate to get out on the bike.”
