WOLVERHAMPTON skipper Rory Schlein continued his flying form by winning Edinburgh's Scottish Open Championship fixture on Friday.

The 33-year-old went through the card in an impeccable display as he sealed the title for a fourth time.

After equaling Peter Carr's Armadale record Schlein said: "I made a 'mare of a start in the final!

"I looked at gate 4 and thought 'I can't miss it. But I did, it didn't seem to bite as well. It made for an interesting final!

"All the lads were committed down the back straight and that's what opened the door for me.

"Four times! I've equalled a guy I really looked up to.

"I grew up watching the videos of this meeting and I know how prestigious it is."

It followed on from another solid showing at Sheffield on Thursday where Schlein booked his place in next month's British Final alongside team-mate Kyle Howarth who finished second on the night.

The duo are back in action this Monday when the Parrys International Wolves welcome World Champion Jason Doyle and his Somerset Rebels side to Monmore Green (7.30).
