SKIPPER Rory Schlein praised Wolverhampton’s all-round team performance in Monday’s 56-34 home win over Leicester.

Four riders, including the Australian, bagged paid double figures while debutant Jonas B Andersen also impressed in his first outing in Wolves colours.

Schlein was quick to hail the Parrys International Wolves’ latest signing and says it was the manner of the victory that pleased him more than anything.

“Even though Leicester are bottom of the league it could’ve been a potential banana skin had we not all been on it,” Schlein said.

“That Leicester side has got a few track specialists who usually go around Monmore really well.
“So to beat them the way we did was really good.

“It was a really solid team performance all the way down from 1-7 and we were really pleased.

“Tom (Bacon) did a great job again standing in for Nathan (Greaves – injured) and for Jonas to perform the way he did on his first time here was really encouraging.

“He showed that he wasn’t fazed after coming last in his first ride and after that he knew where he’d made mistakes and he learnt really quickly.

“He was that solid performer that we’ve been missing and hopefully he can keep that going and stabilise things a bit more.”

A preview of Wolverhampton’s Wednesday trip to Somerset will be issued later on Tuesday.
