NEW MAN NICK FOR WOLVES

Monday December 03, 2018
NICK MORRIS, who broke Wolverhampton hearts with Swindon in 2017, has joined the club.

And he’s got a local link – despite racing for Australia in the World Cup.

His father Lee is a lifelong Cradley Heath fan and a regular at Molineux supporting Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Both his parents returned from Australia to live in the area and are sure to be supporting Nick during his time at Monmore.

Morris admits he’s particularly looking forward to working with Parrys International Wolves boss Peter Adams.

“Pete has an amazing reputation in the sport and I’m looking forward to working with him at Wolves,” he said.

“I know Sam Masters well and the team is coming together quite nicely, I’m pleased with the way things have fallen into place.”

Morris pulled off a stunning ride for Swindon at Monmore in the 2017 Grand Final which helped the Robins edge out Wolves.

The move was watched by millions on TV and social media channels throughout the world.

“I’ve got good memories of racing at Wolves and hopefully this time I can win things with them,” he said.

“Wolves is a stable club with good management and I like the place so I’m excited to be joining them for the new season.”

Wolverhampton owner Chris Van Straaten said: “Nick is a good signing. When we became aware that he could become available we were interested straight away.

“It took a few days to get where we wanted to be and finally secure the move and we’re delighted to have him on board.

“This will probably be the last announcement with the team for a few days from now as we weigh up our options.”

Wolverhampton have so far announced Morris, Luke Becker, Kyle Howarth and Sam Masters with three places remaining.
