THREE of Wolverhampton’s top stars have an early start to the 2019 season when they compete in Sunday’s Ben Fund Bonanza at Leicester (2pm).

Sam Masters, Nick Morris and recent recruit Scott Nicholls are all involved in the traditional opening event of the campaign which raises vital funds for injured riders.

Nicholls, who agreed a deal with the Parrys International Wolves this week as cover for Jacob Thorssell, will also be on his home track in the Championship as he captains Leicester this season.

Both Masters and Morris are regarded as track specialists at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena, with Masters having given a stunning performance in Wolves’ last visit of 2018.

The meeting is a full 20-heat individual plus a semi-final and Final, and an auction will take place after the final presentation.

Gates open at midday with pre-meeting events starting at 12.30, including Men in Black and British Youth races.

Admission prices are £20 adults, £15 concessions, children (10-16) £5, and under-10s free.
