WOLVERHAMPTON are hoping to get their Premiership Supporters’ Cup campaign off to a positive start when they travel to Peterborough on Thursday (7.30).

The two sides completed just two races when they met at Monmore on Monday before torrential rain forced the clash to be abandoned.

Parrys International Wolves were 10-2 up at the time and club No.1 Sam Masters is hoping they can get off to a similar start at the East of England Arena.

“It’s frustrating because we’d got at them in the first few races but there’s no way we can control the weather unfortunately,” Masters.

“Now we head to their place and I think we can give it a real good go.

“All the boys are feeling pretty confident and we’re raring to go as a team.

“We were disappointed with how things ended up last season but we’re determined to make up for it this year and hopefully we’ll end up with some trophies.”

The trip to Alwalton will be Wolves’ first since 2013 following the Panthers’ decision to return to top flight racing over the winter.

PETERBOROUGH: Rohan Tungate, Lasse Bjerre, Bradley Wilson-Dean, Charles Wright, Hans Andersen, Aaron Summers, Ben Barker.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Kyle Howarth, Scott Nicholls, Nick Morris R/R, Rory Schlein, Ashley Morris, Luke Becker.
