HUNGRY Wolves enjoyed a feast of points in their 58-32 demolition of King’s Lynn to open their season in style in Norfolk.

American ace Broc Nicol made a dream debut for the Monmore side with 13-points but this was all about a solid all-round team performance.

From start to finish Parrys International Wolves were a class above their hosts who didn’t help themselves when Thomas Jorgensen touched the tapes in Heat 3.

They brought in Lewis Kerr as a tactical substitution in Heat 7 but Nick Morris passed him with a fine cut back on the second lap to secure the win.

Parrys International Wolves pounced with more points after that to seal the deal in some style and take four league points back to Monmore.

Reserve Tom Bacon had a tough night, touching the tapes in one race and suffering bike problems in another but was on the pace and better things are sure to come for the Coventry-based rider.

Nick Morris and Ryan Douglas have already forged a productive partnership and looked strong with Sam Masters looking his usual classy self.

Boss Peter Adams said: “It was an unexpected result that, the boys were brilliant from start to finish and kept their foot on the peddle from start to finish so naturally I’m very pleased.

“The engine room of the team, Ryan Douglas and Nick Morris, will benefit from riding together more and I expect them to improve.

“It was a magnificent debut for Broc Nicol, he made good starts and he was aggressive on the track, I’m sure he will be a real ace in the pack.

“We couldn’t have wished for a better start to the season but it is only the start and we have a long, long way to go.

“Of course we’re all looking forward to getting back to Monmore Green but to pick up four points away from home in our first trip of the season is a great effort.”

Wolves finally make their long awaited return to Monmore on Monday night when they face Ipswich.
