WOLVERHAMPTON are set to launch a new advance ticket scheme to replace traditional season tickets.

Ticket books of 15 will be made available in December – and they are transferable, unlike season tickets.

The traditional season ticket option has been available since 1987 but club promoter Chris Van Straaten believes the new scheme will be well received.

He said: “While Supporters may be initially dismayed with this news we are certain that the replacement advance ticket books which will be available in December will be more than acceptable.

“Admission tickets will be available in books of 15 with the major advantage over season tickets being that their use is transferable.

“Discounted prices for these books which will be available at two rates, adult and concession, will be announced later this week with details of how to purchase.”

Van Straaten and boss Peter Adams are set to announce a new signing for the 2022 Parrys International Wolves at their winter talk-in next Monday.

The event, at the Cleveland Arms close to Monmore, is always popular and interest is set to be even higher with the announcement on the night.

So far British youngster Leon Flint has signed up for the new season which will start next spring.
