CAPTAIN Sam Masters says his Wolverhampton side are relishing their opening Premiership challenge against King's Lynn at Monmore Green on Monday (8pm).

The Parrys International Wolves head into the clash high on confidence after their Bank Holiday double against Belle Vue earlier this month in the Premiership League Cup.

And while they face a King's Lynn side who have won four out of four to seal their place in that competition Final, Masters says the Wolves camp believe in their own abilities.

“We’ve done a couple of meetings at Wolves now but this is where it really starts for us," he said.

"With so few teams in the league again this year, I think it’s important you do everything you can to win all of your home meetings.

“You definitely don’t want to be losing your first one that’s for sure because you don’t want to be on the back foot straight away and playing catch up from the off.

“I think all the teams look pretty tough this year – there’s no easy looking meetings and that’s how it should be in this league.

“King’s Lynn look pretty solid all the way through and they’ve had a really strong start to the season.

“But we’ve just got to do our own thing and all the boys are pretty happy at the minute.

"We just want to go out and get a good win to start.”

King's Lynn are led by former Wolf and the Monmore Green track record holder Niels-Kristian Iversen - adding extra spice to what already promises to be a tasty first league fixture in the Black Country.

A reminder that tapes-up is at the slightly later start time of 8pm with Children aged 5 and under admitted absolutely FREE while it's just £1 for children aged 6-12.

There will also be free face painting for youngsters in attendance.
