WOLVERHAMPTON skipper Sam Masters will make a late decision on his fitness ahead of tonight's (Monday, 7.30) home clash with Ipswich.

The Aussie ace crashed in Poland on Saturday and attempted to race for Edinburgh in the Championship on Sunday.

He won his opening ride before withdrawing with a swollen right foot.

Promoter Chris Van Straaten said: "Sam is a fitness doubt but the decision will be made as late as possible.

"With all six Premiership sides in action, it means Rider Replacement would be the only real option with no suitable guests available.

"His foot is swollen that badly, an X-Ray is not yet possible due to the severity of the swelling.

"So Sam is going to see how he gets on today and as we said, he'll make a decision as late as possible."
