SWINDON 51 WOLVES 45

Thursday April 15, 2010
WOLVERHAMPTON gained a vital Elite League point from their 51-45 defeat at Swindon on Thursday.

Freddie Lindgren was at his brilliant best to top score with 16+1 which included a maximum six-points from a tactical ride - and a vital 5-1 in the last race to secure the consolation point.

Ty Proctor also won a tactical ride as the Parrys International Wolves went about their business in a determined manner.

It looked bleak for Peter Adams' men going into the last race but Lindgren teamed up with skipper Tai Woffinden for a brilliant 5-1.

Said Lindgren: "It's nice to get something from the meeting although we would have prefered a win, of course.

"I enjoyed it and I think this team has the potential to get better as the season progresses."

SWINDON: Leigh Adams 12, Thomas H Jonasson 9+2, Simon Stead 8+2, Grzegorz Zengota 7+2, Mads Korneliussen 7, Morten Risager 5, Cory Gathercole 3+1.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Freddie Lindgren 16+1, Tai Woffinden 9+2, Ty Proctor 9, Nicolai Klindt 5, Joe Screen 4, Joe Haines 1+1, Ludvig Lindgren 1.
