MORE U21 SUCCESS FOR PAWLICKI

Saturday August 23, 2014
WOLVERHAMPTON star Piotr Pawlicki continued his remarkable run of form and success by guiding Poland to glory in the World Under 21 Team Championships.

The 19 year old, who recently finished runner-up in the Polish Championship as well as winning rounds one and two of the World Under 21 Individual Championships, dropped just one point, scoring 14, to help Poland win Gold convincingly.

Fellow Wolves team-mate Lasse Bjerre recovered from a disappointing, first heat tapes exclusion to score a respectable eight points for Denmark who comfortably secured second place on the rostrum.

Jacob Thorssell endured a tough meeting scoring five points as Sweden were forced to settle for Bronze.

The trio will be replaced by Scott Nicholls, Gino Manzares and Rohan Tungate in tonight's Elite League meeting away at Eastbourne, but will all return for the reverse fixture at Monmore Green on Monday.
